No matter what industry you are in, understanding the value of trust is crucial and plays a major role in our everyday lives. Think about it. While relationship dynamics may vary, the thread of consistency is this: in order to experience success in relationships, we must feel a sense of assurance and established expectation.

This idea rings true for any dynamic. We expect our family to love us, unconditionally. We expect our friends to genuinely care and support us. We expect businesses that we patronize to deliver the products or services as advertised and in turn, businesses expect their customers to pay for those goods and services.

While trust may be conditionally rendered, if lost or compromised, it then becomes difficult to get back. Yes, gaining a client’s confidence can take a great deal of care, but once gained, it yields itself, ten-fold.

Very often we put the responsibility of our trust on the other person or product but the loss of trust can also be attributed to us having a greater expectation than a person or product can deliver.
